2020 Case Study
Background: Mesa del Sol is a community of commercial and residential properties with embedded infrastructure to create a smart, sustainable and safe environment. The community is in the development phase. Mesa del Sol engaged the Garrity Group to raise awareness of the progress that has been made in the master planned community.
Challenge: Mesa del Sol has a lot of positive momentum but not a lot of awareness. The Garrity Group was tasked to share the larger story of the master planned community through the lenses of their small business and corporate partners.
Solution: The Garrity Group worked with Mesa del Sol to identify and interview the small business and corporate partners. Developing narratives featuring the a consistent thread of “based in Mesa del Sol,” The Garrity Group created storylines for specific news media groups. Coverage was secured throughout Santa Fe and Albuquerque, including KRQE-TV and the Albuquerque Journal. The Garrity Group efforts generated Mesa del Sol media coverage reaching 536,000 area residents, (¼ of New Mexico’s population).
